ANTS Galore!

This is long overdue, but to my defense, every time I went to make this post, blogger wigged out on me....
The Ants arrive....of course, Besty ran in as soon as they pulled in, turned and locked the deadbolt, then came for Emmett, ensuring she got him first!
We made mini ants for each:
Besty-make-upped; Laree-camera and a cute headband; Nik-blonde bob and green thumb; Ren-sideways baseball hat and red sox B
Mom made some very pretty and tasty salads!
an intense Photoshoot, which included rearranging furniture and lots of wicked cute pics
the learned mommy shows the new one how to bathe a baby without making him cry
with Nik
Nik's kids were so excited to see her! We skyped a little bit when we were all together
On Tuesday, we floated the cutest cake that Renee decorated for Best's birthday

..and they thought we were going to get murdered under the dark bridge by the river-

The balloon fiesta favorite
How cool is this?
The first time we went with mom (Saturday morning), we weren't early enough to see this in the morning, but it was really cool.
I'm glad we caught it the second time around, when we went on Thursday with my sisters
When we went with all the ants, it was the special shapes ascension, which was is a lot of fun
Micah had his own personal furnace...
(some guy even came and asked him what he had under his shirt! We thought the feet hanging out the bottom made it pretty obvious)
The rest of us had to huddle together to keep warm
Tuesday before Laree took off, we took everyone to our favorite-Tinkertown
It's great because no other place has anything like it and even if you don't love it, it's unique and something you can't find anywhere else!
We were bummed that Laree had to leave that afternoon, and mom the next day, but reality calls

And because it's all backwards....on Moday, we went to El Pinto, which has great patio seating and not so great food...but the atmosphere is impressive
with Laree
how cute-he crosses his legs when eating ;)
with Ren
This was such an awesome week for me & Micah and we are SO grateful for everyone that made it happen-sisters willing to come, husbands willing to live without wives for a week, neighbors willing to watch kids, everyone willing to sacrifice the time and money, leaving school and jobs, etc, etc, etc.... I just never thought I'd see so much of my family here in Albuquerque, especially not all at once. Micah was excited to just spoil everyone and make sure it was the funnest week, with great food and any entertainment we wanted. To me it truly was a miracle and we'll never forget it! Micah is even looking for a cabin up in UT so maybe next year anyone that wants to come with families could possibly meet up again! We sure love you!

maybe the scientist husbands might find the activities interesting, too!
