BYU 24 UNM 19

Today's activity. This game was much closer than it should have been. They would have beaten us, had their kicker not stunk. He hit the pole THREE times!!! and one of his 3 point field goals got blocked. That's kind of embarrassing for us, seeing as UNM is possibly the worst team in the country! Go cougs!!

Look at all that blue!! I promise, there were ALMOST as many cougar fans as lobos!

there's a good chance this might be our new address!!!

but nothing's for sure until closing in the spring, so we're not saying much about it
(except this, cause I'm kind of excited to move anywhere out of our 600 sqft apt)

Halloween!

The night before Halloween, we had our favorite Abq pizza, Dion's, & carved these cool pumpkins with some new friends!
actually, it's one pumpkin, but double sided
My side:
Micah's side:
on Halloween night, I took Micah on a Halloween date out to a haunted neighborhood, then to our favorite Abq pizza place-Dion's and came home and watched a scary movie!

I guess we were homesick...

cause we drove 4 hours to see fall foliage over weekend in early October.
We took off to Alpine, AZ of all places! But there are some mountains so there were a bunch of aspen trees that have changed! We spent the night in this tacky little log cabin in the cutest town. We walked across the street to a cafe/grill for dinner, went to another cafe for pie after that (almost as good as Micah's), saw amazing stars!, took a night walk out in the cold crisp air, and ran out of hot water in the morning so we went to a bakery and got some breakfast and did a drive and hike through the mountains before heading back! Tiny villages are fun to visit

Albuqerque's annual International Balloon Fiesta

Here are some very flattering pictures of us! The first weekend in October, there's always this event. The balloons launch around 6am and there are tons of crowds. We woke up before conference and decided to head over there quickly just to see what they had. We obviously didn't get the whole show, but it was still fun to see (and worth getting a little more sleep!)

some of our favorites

Project

This used to be a nasty old cream colored shelf that I bought for $8 to stick in our coat closet for extra food storage space. It's been there for the past year but I wanted a cute little bookshelf for our living room. I was excited to try this idea I had-do some kind of design on the back of the shelves, and I like how it turned out!

Katy's Birthday

I turned 27 this fall! I look older and tired in this picture, don't I? (Traditional Cheesecake, out on our still semi new patio furniture! We love the climate here-where else would you catch me outside in the end of September, at night, in short sleeves?)

And the more-recently-now-traditional birthdaycake-float!
Thanks for all the birthday calls and wishes!
