Michigan Reception

We had our reception at Micah's house on June 28, and it was beautiful! They had orange lilies they had planted all along the road to match the wedding colors, had finished landscaping tons of flowers up around the house, a friend made some GREAT food for the party, Sammy and Daddy had built an entire deck in one month that was perfect, a cake with our engagement picture on it, I got to meet lots of the Lillrose's friends, wildflower bouquets from the yard, and there was even a rainbow after the brief rainshowers that drove us inside. Unfortunately, we were a little bit preoccupied, so we don't have many photos from the event, so I'll copy some from Mom's page and if we happen to get more, I'll add them later.

Micah powerwashing the driveway, old cars, hornets nests....anything that stood still.
Sammy & Tiffany cleaning up their traditional fushias.

collecting flowers and making all the bouquets. they did GREAT! (or as Alex and Brig say so well: GWEAT! :) Sammy was the great organizer behind it all-getting all the house projects done before the party. BIG THANKS to you, SAMMY-and all your little helpers!

mom told Micah that he's vain for taking his glasses off for pics; he was moving stuff around and showing off that he's a little farmer boy by riding a tractor

My uncle Kerry & Christine showed up (first ones there), which was a HUGE, fun surprise!
and guess what! Uncle Kerry said he wants to open a hot dog stand, too!! guess who just made new favorite uncle in law for Micah?!?! (uncle bruce is VERY close competition)

notice the deck?!?!

LONG story, but we had to fly out of Denver, and we did not get a chance to see BLST unfortunately (as it was, we drove straight, except for this short stop, and still got in at 2am, with Micah having to go to work in 5 hours) But I have to add this picture for them because they inspired this pit stop: (check out their trip here)

Looks like fun! How is it that all the LaPierre girls seem to marry guys (or are going to marry in the case of B) that like the country and country living?!? Do our brothers or Dad like it or is it something that our mother instilled in us as something to yearn for? Will R and L follow suit? (Did I spell suit right in this use?)

UT/ID/NM/CO and civilization should not be used in the same sentence!
