Flying to Boston....

So it was a bit sad, but apparently a Woburn Police officer was killed in the line of duty right after Christmas. The morning after we got there the funeral procession went right by the house. A lot of neighbors lined the street as we did. As sad as it was, it was actually kind of neat and very patriotic...

You can't tell, but this is a bus full of officers in uniform...
they bused them from the wake to the memorial service and
they came from all over the state and even from other states

The picture doesn't capture it, but they all had their blue flashing lights on

We went down to the cemetery and there were crowds there that watched from afar...
there was a 21 gun salute, helicopters in formation did a fly over (never seen that before),
and it was very touching when they drove away his squad car and announced
his last call to duty...
when we got back, Uncle Bruce held Emmett...he admitted
later he really came for the babies ;)

The fire kept the house pretty warm this year!

With cuz Ty'! They both have some good looks

We ventured into Boston one day with Mom to the Russian Bazaar
It's the only place in America I've found so much food from my mission
Kefirs....nothin' like the American stuff. They drink
it like milk over there, but it's like buzzed buttermilk :(

The BIG chocolate brand that's made in Riga

The deli stuff...a little more sanitary than the latvian delis

Ice Cream cones! We would eat these all the time...well, often, in the summer

And good ol' Brian Sweeney made it by one night...
he's a pro with the babies these days!

Mom took us out to Plum Island...it was VERY windy! but beautiful...
so nice to see the ocean

and lots of homes are starting to get washed away

They're like mirror images-stripes, hats, toys....just one's upside down

Micah spent a lot of time putting in this door for the Emporium

And good ol' AllyeB came over, too! Wow, I look flattering,
but I had to put Allye in here!

And Micah's cousin, Michael and his wife Claire
just moved to Boston, so we visited them, too

We had a great time over the holidays....wish we could have seen
more friends, but we'll be back this summer!
