Announcing....a New Arrival!!!!

for $180, which is the only reason we got it!
We decided to splurge and spend some of that wedding money we've saved for household things.
It also matches our loveseat pretty well (except this one doesn't have brass 'things' around the arms)...YAY! We are set for a nice long time, now.
(Sorry if you thought this was a more exciting kind of arrival....we're childless and not pet people, so these are the big changes in our life right now ;)

Hope you all enjoyed V-day as much as we enjoyed PinkPanther2!

We were bummed we missed the big wedding dress party in Provo (if I recall correctly, there was also a big party for Laree about this time last year, and a few days after a wedding dress party, also! What a great holiday for our family!) , we tried to make up for it and have our own party in NM.
We took a little ski trip to Santa Fe (absolutely BEAUTIFUL views from the ski lift and atop the mountain, but we couldn't find the camera....until we left!) To top off our holiday, we went and saw PINK Panther2, which is perfect for Valentine's because it's got pink in the name and perfect for us, because anyone that has spent time with Micah has heard it quoted often! We were excited to hear they were making a #2; and that's exactly what we thought of it-good enough, but not taking the #1 spot!

This is my most FAVORITE valentine of all!!
I just have to brag how creative, thoughtful and fun my mom is!
I'm sure my family has seen these, but I think they were so creative they deserve a spot on here

Look Who's at Our House!!!

(this is mostly for Lisa...to see that Jim is still healthy and fine despite our kidnapping him the last few nights :)
We LOVED having Jim here! We had such a great time talking with him the last few nights. It livened up our lives and gave us some excitement in our mundane weekday nights. We were surprised that Jim is the very first visitor from the LaPierre side. The only sad part is that Lisa wasn't able to come with him, but maybe next time! He is welcome again anytime, as are any of you!

This is what ABQ looked like when we left....

and pretty much when we returned. Micah got this sweet memo from work previous to the week we left for vacations (during these storms) delaying work, possibly cancelling it (due to that inch of snow!). Also, it gave great advice for people with no common sense that there might be ice in the walking areas, to wear boots, dress warmly, etc... Can't complain about free vacation time, at least!

We were behind a snowstorm in Flagstaff on the way to Jamie & Michelle's wedding! I have NO pics of that, but check any of my siblings' blogs....there are tons of great ones. Congrats!!!

We had a lot of fun in CA with my fam for the wedding & a lot of fun in MI with Micah's family!

Ironically on our drive back to Abq from Salt Lake, we didn't hit snow until NM! It was actually quite the storm, tons of accidents, took longer than we planned, etc.... Micah found out that one of the 10 most renowned ski resorts in North America is in New Mexico. Go figure!

We had a little more Christmas when we got back home....
